Alpha Beta Theta Chapter was chartered in 1997 and operates from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta Georgia. The University is primarily a school that specializes in engineering disciplines. The brothers at Southern Poly had a very productive year in 2013. Some of the activities the chapter sponsored were:
- Sigma Leadership Conference – Host chapter of the 2013 GA State Leadership Conference
- Neophyte Showcase – Probate show for the new initiates; James Paterson, Christopher Daniels and Morgan Willis
- Sigma Week – Sigma week activities included the following for campus students:
- Basketball tournament
- Relationship 101 – Discussion forum
- Stroll Like A Sigma – Stroll contest
- Welcome to Sigmapoly – Welcome to campus party
- Sleepout For The Homeless – Supported the national initiative by sleeping out one evening to raise awareness about the homeless situation and collected can foods to support the event.
- Sigma Next Top Model – Ms. Phi Beta Sigma contest
- MLK Day of Service – Participated in the NAACP MLK Day Parade in Stone Mountain, GA
- Sickle Cell Awareness – The chapter invited Mrs. Beverly Sinclair from the Georgia Sickle Cell Foundation to provide information awareness on the disease.
- Freshman Move-in – Assisted new students move into the dorms
- Blu-B Q – Campus wide cook-out
