The Kappa Alpha Sigma Chapter (KAS)

Our History: Chartered in DeKalb County in 1987, Kappa Alpha Sigma is a brotherhood of diverse, committed men advancing Phi Beta Sigma’s mission through Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service—building leaders, chartering collegiate chapters, and strengthening the bonds of Sigma across the Atlanta area.

From our charter members’ foundational leadership to the chapter’s continued role in advising and supporting undergraduate Sigma men, Kappa Alpha Sigma has remained resilient through every era—growing stronger through transition, mentorship, and unity. As we move deeper into Sigma’s second century, we honor the legacy that built us while continuing to write the next chapter through impactful service, consistent fellowship, and a commitment to uplifting our communities and the broader Sigma family.
