Our Bigger and Better Business program focuses on empowering small black businesses and entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary tools to succeed in todays competitive market. Our goal is to see these businesses flourish, creating a positive impact not only for their owners but also for their communities as a whole.
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity – Kappa Alpha Sigma Chapter recognizes that improving economic conditions of minorities, plays an integral role in enhancing overall social community welfare. With this conviction at its core, our Bigger and Better Business Program strives towards fostering sustainable growth within local communities through targeted initiatives geared toward small black-owned and minority-owned businesses.
We do this by offering mentorship opportunities, joint partnerships, along side workshops covering financial literacy managing budgets, generational wealth & management practices. We hope to encourage individuals from underrepresented backgrounds and communities to become active participants both economically independently via ventures they feel passionate about while simultaneously strengthening the global economy from within their own communities.
We have several initiatives that we hope encourage our communities and black/minority owned businesses. We have our Financial Literacy Programs, Investment Club and Contest, our Black Dollar Spend Initiative, Adopt a Business Initiative, Sigma, Business Network Initiative, Project V.I.T.A,(which is the volunteer income tax assistant program), And several other initiatives such as the Billboard Jackson Entrepreneur Development Program and our Men’s Warehouse Dress for Success Program.
